Rethinking Education for a Changing World
At Learning Edge Blog I share reflections and ideas on the future of education, drawing on my experience as an international educator and EdD student. This space brings together insights from research and practice, with a focus on how educational thinking can evolve in response to changing contexts.
As Paulo Freire wrote, “Education does not change the world. Education changes people, and people change the world.” This perspective underpins much of what I explore here, particularly the relationship between education, agency, and social change.
This blog considers how education might better prepare learners for an uncertain and rapidly changing future. That includes rethinking teaching practices, engaging with innovation in thoughtful and purposeful ways, and examining the knowledge, skills, and dispositions students need both within and beyond the classroom.
Rather than offering definitive answers, the aim is to open up space for dialogue, question established assumptions, and think more critically about what education is for—and what it could become.
